Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Global Chat ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Global Chat mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect
To provide the chat, browsing, and calling features of Global Chat, we collect the following categories of information:
Account & profile information
- Authentication details when you sign in (e.g. via Google Sign-In or other supported sign-in methods), including your email address and a unique user ID.
- Profile information you provide, such as your full name, gender, age, country, bio, and profile photos.
Content you create
- Text messages, images, and voice messages you send to other users.
- Likes, blocks, and reports submitted against other profiles.
Presence & usage data
- Online/offline status and last-seen timestamps, shown to other users so they know when you're available to chat.
- Basic usage and diagnostic data (such as app version, device type, and crash/error logs) used to keep the App stable and secure.
Device & notification data
- A push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver chat, like, and call notifications to your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and manage your account and profile.
- Let you browse other users' profiles and connect with them through chat and voice calls.
- Deliver messages, calls, and push notifications in real time.
- Show accurate online/last-seen status to other users.
- Maintain trust and safety, including reviewing reports, enforcing blocks, and preventing abuse.
- Diagnose problems, improve performance, and develop new features.
- Serve advertisements that help keep the App free to use (see Advertising below).
3. Messages, Photos & Voice Calls
Messages, photos, and voice messages you send are stored securely so they can be delivered to and displayed for the people you're chatting with. Photos and voice messages are stored using a third-party cloud storage provider (Cloudflare R2) and are accessible only through the App.
Voice calls between users are connected using real-time communication (WebRTC) technology. We do not record or store the audio content of your voice calls; call metadata (such as who called whom and call duration) may be retained for safety, billing, and support purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Global Chat relies on the following trusted third-party service providers to operate. Each provider processes data subject to its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Cloud Messaging) — account sign-in, storing profile/chat data, and delivering push notifications.
- Google Sign-In — optional sign-in using your Google account.
- Cloudflare R2 — secure storage of photos and voice messages.
- Google AdMob — displaying advertisements within the App (see below).
5. Advertising
Global Chat may display ads through Google AdMob to support the free use of the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads, including personalized ads where permitted, and to measure ad performance. You can manage ad personalization through your device's advertising settings. For more information, see Google's Advertising Policies.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account, profile, and message data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App and comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at mkcoreapps@gmail.com. We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls provided by our infrastructure partners (Google Firebase, Cloudflare), to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices & Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- Edit your profile information directly within the App.
- Block or report another user from within the App.
- Disable push notifications through your device settings.
- Request account and data deletion by emailing mkcoreapps@gmail.com.
10. Children's Privacy
Global Chat is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will take steps to delete that information and terminate the associated account.
11. International Data Transfers
Because Global Chat connects users around the world, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers operate data centers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Effective date" above when we make changes, and material changes will be communicated through the App where appropriate.
